Writing
I've reported on severe mine subsidence in southern Illinois, domestic violence prevention in Missouri's capital and Sacagawea's legacy in suburban Kansas City. I've covered breaking news, media censorship and even the World Horseshoe Championship. Working across platforms in a variety of newsrooms has taught me an important lesson: the best writers are always the ones who can adapt. In the last three years, I've written for newspapers, magazines, special sections, wire services and even public broadcasters. With each assignment, I've strengthened my voice and solidified who I am as a writer.
